I believe students should have a firm grounding in the basics of a particular subject. From there, through deduction and induction, the advanced topics can be learnt or remembered. Therefore, I do not give copious notes nor do have students to memorize long passages.

I try to understand how a student learns and focus on that particular method. My teaching style is all about understanding: first an intuitive approach then a technical approach. I believe there is no such a thing as a stupid student. everyone can get an "A", it all depends on the work given.

I keep my lessons to a max 2-hour session with 5 min breaks every 30 min. This is to keep students from overstimulating their brain. Thus, I tend to occasional jokes to keep the learning environment free and less stressful so that students can be comfortable to learn.

I normally give weekly assessments to gauge the progress of my students.

I want to see my students succeed, otherwise, I feel like I have cheated my clients out of their money.

I have tutored several students in Mathematics for IGCSE exams (Edexcel) and Chemistry IGCSE & A'Levels (Edexcel & Cambridge). I also ran a Chemistry Club for 2 years.
