I use practical examples when teaching and instead of giving assignments, I allow students to try out questions I give them during the class to know if they really understand what is being taught. With students struggling, I pin point their mistakes and give them more examples to try till they are comfortable with the topic. I believe learning should not be rushed and it should be something both the students and teachers enjoy.
