I have been teaching Chemistry, Biology, and Math to 13-18yo in Singapore schools for a decade. I tutor students in the same subjects at the IGCSE, GCE O, GCE A, and the IB levels privately. I also tutor students who study in the UK and am familiar with the Pearson, OCR, and CBSE syllabus. In addition, I coach students for the SAT, GRE, and MCAT (medical school entrance test). When teaching, I break new concepts down to aid student understanding and reiterate old concepts when teaching new ones to ensure retention of knowledge. I encourage students to generate mindmaps and notes with my help, and employ socratic questioning in the process to ensure no misconceptions remain. Students have found me task-oriented, engaging, and patient. Most receive a 3-4 grade improvement following weekly lessons.
