I am the first Ph.D. holder in my entire family. During my Ph.D. in Food Technology, I had a chance to visit Michigan State University, USA, where I participated in various teaching and mentorship programs. During my IRSIP visit and later on, while teaching at NIFSAT, Jinnah University for Women, and now at UMT. Lahore, I found a great feeling of pleasure in helping my students assist them in their career decisions, teaching them course material, and polishing their analytical and problem-solving skills.
Being a teacher of food technology and human nutrition, I am fortunate to have a lot of examples regarding real-life health issues and dietary habits. Communication with the students and discussing each learning style makes it easier and more comfortable. Intellectual excitement develops a strong image of the teacher, which later on helps to build interpersonal rapport. To be a great and inspiring teacher, I believe that the teacher himself should be competent to assess all the multiple intelligence types and to teach accordingly. I have also have completed 15 online academic and management courses from world top ranked universities.
