It'd be nearly impossible to learn anything you don't find interesting. However, there is a way - by making it interesting.
When I was about 10, I was driving with my dad and watching his odometer. I had a watch and noticed that in 15 minutes he drove 12 miles. I concluded he must have averaged 48 miles per hour, and compared it with where the speedometer needle had been hovering. I was correct and it was a real thrill. Using math, I had combined two physical quantities to correctly find a third. I've never lost that thrill; been working in physics for 50 years.
