My name is Joshua Pereira, and I am a third year education student at Indiana University Bloomington. Indiana University has consistently had the #1 education program in the state, and ranks at #11 for secondary education in the nation. That being said, my qualifications and experience with content knowledge and educational methodology have come from experts in their respective fields.

As for me personally, I believe that how you learn is more useful than what you learn. If a student can find out what learning method works best for them, they can achieve their academic goals with fluidity. My goal as an educator is to help students reach their academic goals and push further by emphasizing repetition of the methods that are specifically tailored to them. By doing that, the student is not only able to conquer the subject at hand, but they can also use how they learned to succeed in other subjects.

For my interests, I’m a optimistic upbeat person. I enjoy making people smile, and watching my students grow as learners. I enjoy listening to music, reading, writing, going to the gym, and playing piano. I hope I can join you on your educational journey.

    My field experience includes 3 years of both helping students with various educational topics regarding social studies, and also helping students learn English as a New Language. My experience has not only molded me into a premier educator, but it also reminded why exactly I love the subject and the students. My primary goal is to not just help students memorize information, but to more so help them explore educational methods of learning that work best for them
