Hello there! I'm Elpida and I was born and raised in the United States, I studied English Literature at Forest Park College in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and majored in ESL. I have also attended various seminars on English education and psychology. I have been teaching English for over 25 years in various English schools in Greece. I have taught English to people of all ages, from junior level to adults. I specialize in Eiken preparation based on the Common European Framework. My teaching style is mostly hybrid and student centered which results in communication and greater language education of my students.
I believe that teaching a language through real tasks, problem solving, and everyday situations is a great way to develop fluency. I approach by allowing students to be actively involved in both speaking and listening. This process consists of gradual acquisition of grammatical structures and vocabulary so that students can more effectively achieve their English learning goals.
I am a cheerful, active and very open-minded person who respects my students and colleagues.
As an educator, I am passionate about my work. I love reading, writing, but mostly teaching because it gives me the opportunity to broaden my horizons, share and gain knowledge, and meet new students from all over the world. I look forward to teaching you! :-)
