I can teach kathak from the basics, starting from tatkar ( tapping of feet),chakkars (spin), all technical things related to kathak as well as can cover up theory.
My method of teaching include starting with riyaz ( riyaz depends on the duration of class), then step by step learning one part, with each class practice previous movements and move to the new thing plus how to recite the bol on hands with counting.
I try to explain patientnly and ensure that they grasp the steps properly and then move forward to the next step.
