As a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist with over three years of experience, I have honed my skills in both adult and pediatric care. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Speech and Hearing in Kerala, followed by a Master's from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be) University in Pune. I have led clinical services at Catalyst Speech Therapy Center in Kerala, Vyaktam Speech therapy center, Pune, and Rise Rehabilitation center, Pune, gaining hands-on experience in managing a wide range of speech and language disorders, including child language disorders (ASD, ADHD), neurological language disorders (Aphasia, cerebral palsy), motor speech disorders (Dysarthria, Apraxia of speech), dysphagia, intellectual disabilities, hearing impairments, voice disorders, fluency disorders, and speech sound disorders.
I strongly believe in the personalized approach to therapy, understanding that what works for one individual may not work for another. This philosophy drives my continuous exploration of innovative methods, including the integration of music and movement to activate brain function and encourage speech development—a technique that has shown promising results. Additionally, I advocate for the gradual inclusion of children with special needs into mainstream schools, ensuring they receive the therapy and support necessary for a smooth transition.
My expertise extends to the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for individuals with various communication disorders, and I have been practicing teletherapy for the past three years. I am certified in Oral Placement Therapy (Level 1) and trained in Gestalt Language Processing, a cutting-edge approach that many in the field are still discovering.
Fluent in Malayalam, English, and Hindi, with limited working proficiency in Indian Sign Language and understanding of Marathi and Tamil, I am well-equipped to serve diverse communities.
