I interactively teach Arabic, which contributes to creating an active learning environment, which stimulates students to participate actively, making the content more understandable. My classes are based on dialogue and discussions, which also reinforce learning. My philosophy of teaching is also based on my experience in learning the language, especially since I grew up in Morocco, a country known for its linguistic and cultural richness.
Over my twelve years in this field, I have provided a student-centered learning environment. Learning takes place in my classroom as part of collaborative group work. I found that this strategy has a great role in developing relationships between students on the one hand, and between students and teachers on the other hand. By creating honest communication in my classes, I have also been able to create a positive and enjoyable environment for my students that makes them willing to participate actively in activities.
The activities I prepare allow students to interact with classmates and practice the four skills of reading, speaking, writing, and listening, so I often make sure that dialogue and eye contact are more accessible. I also try to gauge their attention with a variety of activities. Technology has a major role in the educational learning process, especially after the spread of the Coronavirus, so it was necessary to participate in training courses aimed at using technology in this field and encouraging students to use it in a way that enhances their learning.
Finally, one of the most important aspects of my philosophy is sharing the cultural aspect of the language with my students. Arab culture is rich, and I am always happy to share my customs and traditions.
