I am an Inclusive and Special Needs Educator. This means I possess unique strategies to lead student-centered and positive teaching-learning activities based on indivual strengths and needs for learners with and without special needs.

Notably, the strategies that support learners with special needs are also valuable to typical learners as it improves their attention, retention and application of concepts.

I have over ten years teaching experience from pre-school to post-primary and vocational training and pre-pandemic incorpated educational technology into my practice. I enjoy sharing digital resources that I tailor-make to suit individual learners in fun and interactive sessions. Students have the opportunity to participate in educational games that I would create specific to needs and goals that are set.

Students are assessed during sessions and at the end of topics or concepts to ensure comprehension, application and mastery. Assessments are done through work samples, projects, oral questioning and discussions and tests. Results are reviewed to revise goals and benchmarks.

It is imperative that learners feel comfortable with their teachers so I try my best to ensure a comfortable environment in which mutual respect and communication is high.

Education is not simply the 'book work' so I encorporate positive affirmations and motivations to promote self esteem and confidence as part of the student's holistic growth and development.
