As a seasoned educator with a Bachelor's degree in English and Literature, I am passionate about sharing my love for language and the written word with my students. I have also worked as a creative academic tutor, helping learners to unlock their full potential and achieve their academic goals through various types of creative and functional writing.

My approach to teaching is rooted in a deep understanding of the subject matter, as well as a commitment to meeting each learner where they are. I believe that every student has the capacity to excel, and my greatest joy is seeing my learners soar to new heights. Whether we are discussing the nuances of a Shakespearean sonnet or analyzing the themes of a contemporary novel, I am committed to creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that inspires my students to think critically and express themselves confidently.

  • Internship (Mar, 2017–Aug, 2017) at Potterhouse school NAIROBI
    My main responsibilities were to assist the lead teacher in the planning and implementation of lesson plans for English Language Arts classes. My main duties included:
    1. Assisting the lead teacher in creating lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and state standards.
    2. Providing support during class time by helping students with assignments, answering questions, and facilitating group work.
    3. Grading assignments and providing feedback to students to help them improve their writing and comprehension skills.
    4. Helping the lead teacher with classroom management, including maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment.
    5. Participating in professional development workshops and trainings to improve my teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
    6. Communicating with parents and guardians about student progress and concerns.
    7. Collaborating with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students.
