I have an experience of more than 13 years in teaching. I have taught grade 7 Science(state board), Grade 5 and 6 Science and other subjects(CBSE and IB). I would like to give clear understanding of the concepts in any subject and also make real life connections.Based on the prior knowledge of the students I would build upon improving their skills. Use strategies to inculcate thinking skills among the students.The child gradually becomes more confident in understanding the concepts. Also provide worksheets based on the requirement.Slow and steady improvement may be observed in the child.I would include some videos, other resources for better understanding of the concepts.Received best teacher award for using innovative ideas.Conducted student led conferences in school demonstrating their learning through hands on activities.Also arranged Science studio with various resources where students learn certain concepts by exploring on their own. Encourage students to become independent learners and develop critical thinking, communication and self management skills by being more focused and become a better learner. Most of the slow learners have shown improvement through differentiated instruction in my classes.
