Hello Friends,
Manu Mangattu here. I am a Professor of English and a University Master’s degree rank holder. I offer research guidance to scholars from India and abroad. I have penned 14 books which are available at major online stores. I have completed 72 international research publications, 93 academic papers, and numerous translations. You can find samples of my work on Researchgate, LinkedIn and other online forums. My books, articles, research papers are all available online. Also, many of the lectures I have delivered during the lockdown period are available on YouTube and similar platforms.
As a youngster, I am able to understand, appreciate, identify with and solve the problems faced by my students. I offer career guidance, counselling and mentoring to my wards, and to fine tune my counselling skills I completed Internationally accredited certification course in Counselling from NTCS IAI3, USA. My students say I am friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and easy to grasp.
Being a poet and an artist, I am able to transfer my passion for literature and language to my students. I am a passionate and God-fearing individual and I have inherited my teaching skills from my parents, both of whom are retired professors. I believe marks are important, but I make sure that my students benefit from my lessons in the long-term as well.
For me, teaching is a vocation and a divine gift. It spurs me on personally to achieve more. I teach online, because teaching is something I love. It is my life breath. The success of students in their studies and in their careers is the biggest reward for a teacher. I would like to thank my teachers, but for whom I wouldn't have become what I am now. Being a teacher is a pleasure and privilege, a rare opportunity devoutly to be wished and cherished.
Designing a SWAYAM (UGC-CEC) funded MOOC course worth Rs 15 lakhs was a huge learning experience for me. As a tribute to literature, and everything it has bestowed upon me, I offer free online training and mentoring to UGC NET English aspirants/ post-graduates/ guest lecturers/ research scholars all over the country. Additionally, I offer guidance to 23 PhD research scholars from India, Iran, Australia, KSA and Indonesia.
Ever since the Corona crisis, I have been trying to make myself available online for consultancy and tutoring. To reach a wider audience, my lectures have been made available on YouTube, and I am happy to utilize the possibilities of the Social Media and platforms like Zoom and Google Meet to regularly keep in touch with my student community. On a positive note, the Covid imposed restrictions and the subsequent reliance on webinars have ensured that I get to meet a far more diverse audience who enrich my teaching experience and broaden my horizons, and help me grow as a teacher and an individual.
