I am a teacher of English with a Bachelor's degree in English literature. I am passionate about teaching English and I focus on the learner's experience and engagement during my lessons because I believe that we learn while we practice. I also love to use collaboration in my lessons when I am teaching more than one person. I love to see learners work together, because it fosters communication among learners and it is one great tool for creative thinking which can bring good results and answers from pairs or groups. I have encouraged learners over the years to build friendships and connections from pair to pair tasks and group tasks, and some of them still maintain such friendships. I have also discovered that collaboration in the classroom helps learners to come out of their shells and try to work with others to contribute and engage meaningfully in the lesson and this leads to great results and better performance among learners. I am a great teacher because I love to work with my learners and listen to them. Where they need support, I support them fully, where they need encouragement, I readily give it to them and where they need to be challenged or driven to achieve more, I so my best to push them to work harder in order to perform excellently because they can achieve whatever they set their minds to achieve. Teaching makes me come alive and I would love to have more learners experience a smooth journey while learning English with me.
