I am a school chess teacher with 3 years of teaching experience. My current chess rating is 1650 (chess.com rapid) which puts me in the top 1.5% of active chess players in the world. In my teaching I will do two things that I find most important in a teacher. First, I will be real with you. Instead of teaching you book theory to spend the class time you paid for, I will work closely with your actual games and teach you practical ideas and that you can start applying to your game immediately (although we will learn some degree of theory).

Second, I will try to pass my love for chess down to you. Because, I am like you. I am an active chess player who studies and improves at the game because it is a source of happiness and meaning to me. It is my hope that chess becomes something like this for you as well. I speak English and Russian fluently. My only condition is that you are above 7 years old.
