I have over 40 years of diversified professional experience in Electrical Engineering.
I have had an extensive teaching experience in Higher Education (38 years), at the University of Coimbra. I was the Chair of circa 25 different disciplines. I also supervised 7 PhD Thesis, 5 MSc Thesis, 10 Research Students and circa 200 Final Year Projects of students, all in Electrical Engineering. I am now retired of University duties,with the rank of Full Professor, but have embraced the concept of active retirement.
My present and previous exposures have widened my knowledge and expertise in CAD/CAE Techniques in the Analysis and Optimization of Electrical Devices for Modern Electrical Power Systems in a Sustainable Development Scenario. Particularly in the development of useful tools to Power Systems Planning, Integrity and Security of the Power Grid, Safety and Reliability of the infrastructures, Electrical Machines.
Great experience with different cultures. Use of professional experience to enhance goals. Very good results with multi faceted students and teams.
Strong presentation and excellent communications .Use of power point in lectures.
Fluency in different languages.
Contracts with big Companies in Electrical Engineering.
Good entrepreneurship attitude.
