My name is Jason, I am from North Carolina and the english language has always been, for me, something which i have very much enjoyed understanding and developing. I have extensive experience teaching ESL, and am currently accepting online applicants. My philosophy of learning English is to focus on what brings about the fastest success, so that my students gain confidence - which is the most essential element towards fluency. Language is a little bit like art; nuance, word choice, accent, all playing essential roles in our attempt to convey what we desire the other person to understand. Grammar, more like math, is rote memorization and, while necessary, essentially cannot be the stress of communication. My teaching style is that the student grow quickly in comfort, laugh a little at themselves, and learn enough to realize that a second language is not the impossible task that most of us feel it to be. I have a firm understanding of classical speech, as well as having lived my life through our modern distortion of the english language (haha) - so there is nothing we cannot cover.
