Job Description: Qur’an Instructor

Position reports directly to the Principal, but works in conjunction with the entire Religious Studies Department, which includes Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies.

General Description:

Teaching students to read Quran with proper Tajweed

Helping students memorize Surahs

Developing a positive relationship with the students within the Islamic guidelines

Evaluate each student and create teaching strategies based on the individual’s pace

Tracking progress of each child and maintaining records.

Must be able to teach all ages (Preschool to 9th grade)

Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of Makharij and tajweed and be able to teach the students.

Demonstrate the ability to teach basic Islamic curriculum.

Must be proficient in English language.

Classroom instructional experience is preferable.
