It is not enough to simply learn words and memorize grammar. Being able to write skillfully and speak fluently in English is the truest measure of a person's familiarity with and proficiency in the language. I help my students build such skills that allow them to be confident thinkers, writers, and speakers.
My sessions usually consist of the following:
1. Concept-building with examples;
2. Coursework & grammar;
3. Writing and speaking tasks, assignments, and projects to facilitate application-based learning;
4. Detailed study notes (if required);
5. Periodic revision tests; and
6. Parent-teacher meetings for follow-up and actionable feedback.

Having taught many students over the years, I understand that each student has different needs and learning curves. I ensure that I match the pace of the student while helping him/her build proper concepts, learn how to ideate creatively, assimilate new information with older knowledge and derive other realizations from it, be able to use mind maps and mental imaging effectively, and develop the proper mindset needed for growth.
That said, true learning can only be achieved through persistence and team effort. After all, it is also the duty of the students to revise and practise by themselves and the responsibility of the parents to actively keep track of and oversee their child's progress. Each member must play his/her part in ensuring that the learning needs are met and consistent growth is achieved.

Experience

    I teach English in a fun and engaging manner. My classes are interactive and students are encouraged to ask questions at will. Along with the coursework assigned by the school or board, I also place great emphasis on building good reading, writing, and speaking skills. In order to revise the concepts and lessons learned, periodic tests are conducted to ascertain each student's progress and identify shortcomings. I provide follow-up doubt-clearing and remedial classes to students as needed.
