I have been an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for more than seven years. I studied Bachelor's degree in Education, majoring in English, and currently finishing a research study with a degree of Master of Arts in Education majoring in English as well at the National Teachers College. I recently finished an All-in Certificate course in Academic Research Writing. I have completed various Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) such as "Masterpieces of World Literature" at Harvard University, "Becoming a More Equitable Educator: Mindsets and Practices" at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and "Moving the Margins: Fiction & Inclusion" in the University of Iowa funded by the U.S. Embassy. I have been tutoring students of various age for more than 5 years now. My teaching philosophy is anchored with Lev Vygotsky and Jean Piaget theory that very child is unique and has his/her own temperament and learning style. The child brings this uniqueness into each new experience and takes an active role in the process of learning through their engagement in these experiences.
