Rather than having a large, continuous course/subject, i divide the content into smaller, more manageable pieces. Making the progress more satisfying for learners and helps keep them motivated for the next section. Also letting the learners know what they will learn during the course helps them focus on the relevant information they need to know in order to pass the course/subject. My usage of good mixes of methods and elements like interactions, demos, examples, and quizzes help on my instructional strategies.
My job also is to help learners stay open to learning, and never, ever make them feel ashamed or stupid for not knowing the subject matter already, i have to give the learner the feeling that the course/subject was developed and targeted specifically for them. Applying what I teach to real-world scenarios makes it relevant to the learner and a good subject matter can help me find the right examples. i strictly make sure that i provide ample, relevant feedback to keep learners open to learning.
