    Responsibilities:
    • Participating in patient preparation and collection of covid-19 samples
    • Carrying out Laboratory analysis of COVID-19 using PCR (GEN
    expert) and Rapid Diagnostic Test Kits.
    • Uploading of COVID-19 results to the national dashboard and
    printing results for issuance to clients
    • Interpreting results to patients and submitting reports to Clinicians in
    time.
    • Liaising with Ward management in the preparation of patients for
    COVID-19 sample collection.
    • Advising Clinical Staff in collection, handling and transportation of
    COVID-19 specimens to the Laboratory;
    • Maintaining an inventory of the laboratory equipment and ensure
    their functionality;
    • Compiling, analysing and preparing performance reports for
    submission to relevant authorities
    • Enforcing safety and quality control measures in the laboratory.

    • Participating in COVID-19 surveys among patients admitted in the
    wards of Mbarara Hospital
    • Requisitioning and accounting for laboratory equipment, materials
