Greetings! Hopefully you're doing great!

I'm Dr. Shaykh Nabeel. Teaching is something that I'm very passionate about. The first & foremost thing for me is to create an encouraging, student-friendly & non-judgmental environment for a student to learn to his/her fullest. I want him/her to learn & shine.

The second most important point for me is to help a student to make a strong base of a topic in a very strategic & organized manner & then encourage him/her to memorize it & test his/her grip over a particular topic by solving questions.

I always prefer prioritizing topics & important points on basis of their application in exams and routine practice. I restrain myself to high-yield stuff that a student must know & don't spend time on low yield stuff. Instead of wasting time on low-yield stuff, I reinforce high-yield points with USMLE Step-1 type vignettes.

I always ensure to be strategic, on point and keep things simple & clear. I always encourage a student to ask questions and stop me when he/she loses focus or when I don't make sense to him/her. I help students to know their weaknesses & strengths. I help them build a strategy to work efficiently on their weak areas.

I will fulfill my responsibility to the fullest & ensure that my student has knocked down everything about a particular concept at the end of the lecture/lesson. Thanks!

For example If I am teaching Atrial fibrillation, I will emphasize these points:

Etiology: Atrial dilation due to Mitral valve defect or Atrial Wall ischemia, CAD, HTN, Elderly

Pathophysiology: Abnormal conduction signalling pathway/circuit around pulmonary veins

Inquiry: Palpitations, Lightheadedness, Chest pain, Shortness of breath
Physical exam: Palpitations, irregular pulses.

ECG: Irregularly irregular rhythm, fibrillar waves, absent P-waves
TEE: LA thrombus

Complications: Thrombosis in left atrial appendage, Systemic Embolism (Brain, Kidney, GI etc.)

Tx: Cardioversion if hemodynamically unstable, Rate & rhythm conrol if hemodynamically stable. Also give Aspirin, Antiplatelets & Anticoagulants for LA thromus. Thrombolytics if contraindications for thrombolysis are ruled out.

My Question: An 65-year-old male with HTN comes to your clinic with complain of palpitations. ECG exhibit of AFib. Now I can ask any question regarding AFib which is not mentioned in the question stem.

Thanks again!

    Greetings!

I'm final-year MBBS student. I'm done with my step1 exam. I prepared for step1 for 8 months and I can help you prepare for step1 exam in 5-8months as well by giving 1-2hours daily.

If you need USMLE STEP 1 First Aid latest edition lessons, the minimum hourly fee is 2000 PKR. My schedule allows me to give about 2 hours daily for teaching purposes.

I will try to be friendly, professional & student-centered. What student needs will be my top priority. I won't charge for counseling, guidance, or motivation if it's not more than 15 minutes long.

I've given home tuition during my High school & Pre-medical school years for biology, chemistry & Physics. I also guide my Medical junior students & colleagues for academic excellence & USMLE step 1 preparation. Now-a-days, I'm preparing for step 2 CK as well.

    Thank you!
