I am a highly motivated, industrious and confident individual with a keen interest in learning as well as teaching students. As per my academic background, I would be able to teach various topics of Microbiology and Biotechnology courses that broadly include Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Recombinant DNA technology, Cell Biology, Immunology and select areas of Biophysical chemistry. I have acquired doctoral degree in Biochemistry from IISc, Bangalore which is one of the most reputed research institutes in India. I spent 2 years in Iowa State University, USA and pursued postdoctoral research. I have published multiple research papers in scientific journals and authored a book chapter on virology. In addition to qualifying a number of national level entrance tests like CSIR-UGC NET (All India Rank 112) and GATE (96.5 percentile) in Life sciences, I have also guided CSIR NET aspirants and devised strategies to ace such exams. I have prepared online and offline study materials with recent updates in this field to meet the syllabus requirements of college and Universities.
In this platform, I wish to impart my knowledge in such a way that would generate interest among the students to establish a strong understanding of the subject. I would emphasize on having interactive doubt clearing sessions with students which can help in addressing their queries efficiently. I am a highly approachable person with an amiable personality and proficient interpersonal skills. As an educator, I am open to constructive criticism and feedback from students to improve my teaching abilities over time.
