Background Singing from the age of 7, belongs to a literate family of UP India, a Professional Banker having an MBA Degree with over two decades of International Banking Exposure, learned Music from eminent Musicologists like, Mazhar Arif, Ustad Bashir Butt, Ustad Badruzzaman Khan Sahab of Qusoor Gharana that belongs to the legendary Ustad Chotay Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab, Pandit. Hari Krishan of Shastria Sangeet Kolkata, Sardar Guru Singh of Namdari Sangeet Sabah, and various others who inspired Sultan Aamir Khan in Classical Music that made him to pursue his Music Career with dedication and commitment under the blessing of above Mentors since last 30 years. The Title of “GAIK” was awarded to him by one of the most prominent Poets of Indian Subcontinent and author of more than 200 famous songs of various Bollywood Movies from the era of 40s and 50s, “Hazrat Khumar Barabankvi” in early 90s when he visited Kenya. Sultan Aamir Khan was given some Ghazals to compose along with famous Film Songs to Sing in front of the poet himself. Hazrat Khumar not only awarded him with the title of “GAIK SULTAN”, but he also made his famous song “Tasweer Banata Hoon Tasweer Nahi Banti” being “Mansoob” or exclusively dedicated under the name of Sultan Aamir Khan. This song is from the movie “Baradari” released in 1955 and was sung by the Legendary, Talat Mehmood Music director was Shaukat Dehelvi. Since then, “GAIK SULTAN” came into being and his journey of Music continued with dedication to this date.. GAIK SULTAN is fortunate enough to had learning opportunities under the guidance of many renowned Singers of modern days. He had an opportunity to spent time with the Legend Jagjit Singh during his visit to Kenya. Similarly, he also learnt under the guidance of Madam Farida Khanum, Alamgir, Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan, Manna Day, and last but not the least Ustad Mehdi Hasan Khan Sahab, aside from various others. Music has No Boundaries and no limits. It has its own ethics based on Traditions and Cultural Values. Since it comes from the Soul and touches the Heart, its depth is an Abyss filled with feelings and emotions making it immortal like a soul which leads it towards the Creator. Music is like a beautiful garden filled with various Flowers (Singers) having their own existence, fragrance, colours, styles, and above all, creativity which makes them unforgettable in every sense. Creativity cannot be taught but it can be guided. Skills improve by learning fundamentals and gaining basic knowledge.
