I have industry experience of 15+ years, mostly working in different projects deals with Linux and Linux kernel modules. So have to code and debug mostly in C language based code. Many a times, comes across complex problems where have to device a solution using different algorithms and data structures. OS concepts are something that is needed day-to-day basis as I do have to dal with Linux kernel modules.

I do believe in coding on paper correctly with dry-runs and that is what I teach on how to achieve the same with the candidates. Absolutely error free code on paper and can compile in one go.

Coming data structures and algorithms, mainly focus on the problem solving. At least the candidate can think of the one solution in the first 15 minutes. Then how to optimize the same based on the space or time complexity.

In my day-to-day basis, I do make other's comfortable with the OS concepts and Linux kernel internals. The same thing, I can do it for any interested candidate in this area.
