CELTA qualified Teacher of English

A CELTA qualified teacher of English with more than 10 years of experience in the field. Multilingual with excellent knowledge of the English grammar. Trained and mentored by an ELT specialist from England as teacher trainer while working on a project to deliver Business English Courses to the underprivileged youth in the south of Sri Lanka. Trained 9 individuals as teachers of English and led them in a team.

Student centric teaching methodology to ensure maximum student interaction.
Imparted the knowledge to different category of students which helped them expelled in their relevant field.

Developed 24, 2.5 hour lesson plans and supplementary materials to accompany an internationally acclaimed Business English course. Additionally designed and developed a General English course for beginner level students. My team included 8 members and all of them were new to the teaching field. As a Trainer of Trainers and Team Leader I mentored the trainees through conducting formal observation of their lesson and guided verbal and written feedback procedures.
