Assalamualaikum! Hello, I am Mariam. I am a teacher of Qur'an and tajweed based in Lagos, Nigeria. I am fluent in English and have basic communication skills in Arabic. I have helped students of various backgrounds and ages learn to read Arabic and Quran. I asses each individual based on their background and curate lessons accordingly. I use the qaida to teach basic Tajweed but I also use other methods to support student's learning.
As an English speaker, I understand the language enough to help English speaking students learn basic Arabic.
For each surah memorized, I go over the meanings with students to create a connection with the Qur'anic words being memorized.

    I teach all subjects relating to English Language( Grammar, Comprehension, Literature, Creative Writing).
    I am also in charge of the debate club and teach communication skills.

    I taught Qur'an to pupils and also Assistant the class teacher. This was on voluntary basis

    I have taught students of different backgrounds in Nigeria, U.K, and Senegal. This has been through online.
    I teach tajweed basic level and advanced level. I also teach Qur'an recitation and memorization
