I have been passionately teaching Bharatanatyam to children aged 5 and above through online classes for the past three years, and it has been a truly enriching experience. My classes focus on the Pandanallur style, renowned for its elegance, precision, and emphasis on intricate footwork and expressive storytelling. I take great pride in introducing young minds to this beautiful classical art form and helping them develop both skill and an appreciation for its depth and richness.

Teaching Bharatanatyam goes beyond just teaching movements. I ensure that the learning process is engaging, enjoyable, and inspiring. Children thrive in an environment where they can have fun while learning, so I use creative techniques to make every class interactive and exciting. My approach allows students to connect with the art form on a personal level, building both their confidence and their love for dance.

To provide a comprehensive learning experience, I include body conditioning exercises in my classes. These exercises are designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and posture, ensuring that students develop the physical foundation required for Bharatanatyam. Good posture and physical awareness not only improve their dance but also benefit their overall well-being.

Additionally, I integrate theory sessions into the curriculum to give students a deeper understanding of Bharatanatyam's history, cultural significance, and technical aspects. Learning about the origins, meanings, and symbolism behind this ancient art form adds depth to their practice and allows them to connect with it on a deeper level.

My goal is to instill a lifelong passion for Bharatanatyam in my students while ensuring that their journey is filled with joy, creativity, and a sense of achievement. Watching them grow as dancers and individuals has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching journey.
