Engineer turned musician with 10 years of Teaching experience.
I am a civil engineer by education turned to educator and musician out of passion. I have qualified Rockschool Piano Grade 4 with Merit and Trinity Classical Piano Grade 5 with distinction. I have a teaching experience of 10+ years, piano/keyboard playing experience of 10+ years. Each of my class contains - exercise, song and music theory element.
I also have an experience in writing music curriculum/books for beginners to intermediate level. I get excited about music theory and how it can be applied on an instrument. Alongside playing piano, I am also learning Harmonica, Ukulele, Melodica and Kalimba.

    Since past 4+ years, post covid, I have been taking ONE-ON-ONE online piano classes with the self-designed curriculum, resources and a methodology which makes learning new concepts and their application, fun for all age groups! I have taught (and have been teaching) students from 8 year old to 80 year old.

    From school music teacher (teaching music theory and instruments in groups) to higher management as the Head of 4 centres of Taaqademy Music Academy (Bangalore), I have the experience in various domains of music, and have gotten my hands into every department from teaching to management.

Fee details

    ₹875/hour (US$10.41/hour)

    My fees is INR 3500 for 8 half-hour classes, (frequency is twice a week) OR for four 60-min classes, (frequency is once a week). After each class, I send an email with the details of what was taught in the class, along with resources to listen and homework / practise to be done. In each email, it is mentioned 'number of classes remaining' so that both, student/parent and myself are on the same page. Every time the class count drops to zero, a top up of INR 3500 is required for the next cycle's classes. I provide a FREE demo class as well.

    Have been teaching Piano for 10+ years and have been taking Online Piano Lessons since past 5 Years.

    All classes are one-on-one.
    My approach involves learning songs, exercises and music theory elements in each class so as to provide a holistic progress and enjoyable experience on Piano.

    Below is all you need to know about my classes:

    What to expect at the end of the course?

    Student will be able to recognise the notes immediately, by just looking at them

    Student will be able to play using both hands

    Student will be able to play Piano Rhythmically

    Student will be able to Compose Short Melodies

    Student will be able to form any major scale and its chords

    Student will be able to accompany melody on Right hand with chords on Left hand

    About the class:

    - Once-a week 60 min-class OR twice-a-week 30 min-each class, as per student’s choice

    Amount payable is Rs 3500 for 8 half-hour or 4 one-hour classes
    Any cancellation from either side must be informed at least one day in advance. Same-day cancellation or no-show by the student will result in a forfeited-class
    The course content is flexible, depending upon the prior knowledge of the student
    New topics can be added as the classes proceed
