I graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy Honours (Second upper) degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. As an undergraduate at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, I took modules in pharmaceutical Science (addresses production and development of pharmaceuticals) and pharmacy Practice (offers services to the health care delivery system). After graduation, I joined as a graduate teaching assistant at the Open University as a teaching assistant and then I joined with Department of Pharmacy, University of Ruhuna as a lecturer,
During the past year, as a lecturer, I was responsible for;
• Conducting lectures for all four undergraduate levels on the subjects of Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Medicinal chemistry, Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, Community pharmacy, and pharmaceutical technology.
• Involving in final examination invigilation and entering the marks and grading.
Furthermore, I have more than one year of experience as a clinical pharmacist and community pharmacist at two reputed private hospitals in Sri Lanka. Therefore my teaching methods are really unique as I always try to explore my experiences as a registered pharmacist in Sri Lanka.
