I am Maya Balakrishna, 55 years old passionate classical dancer hailing from kozhikode, Kerala. I speak English, Malayalam and Tamil fluently. I started my journey as a classical bharathanatyam artiste since my childhood and I professionally graduated from kalakshetra college of fine arts, Chennai, TN in 1989 and since then I have been working to improve my skills and to train people across different cultural and ethnical background, as well as, different age groups ranging from 5-60 years old students in order to help them express this divine art form with all grace and beauty. I also have experience being in the judging panel for kerala government youth festival for 3 years in the genre of bharathatyam and folk dance. I have also done 1 year kalamandalam training for mohiniyattam. Hence I am sure I will be the perfect choice for your classical dance journey as your dance tutor.
