I hv been teaching veena for the past 20 years .my teaching s based on gayika style with gamakas.i follow a syllabus pattern where there are 9 levels n which 1st 3 levels,we teach from basic exercises like sarali varisai to alankaram. We also give an introduction to small popular bhajans in diff ragas in these levels. 4th level we introduce geethams,swarajathi,jathiswaram,varnam etc.5th and 6th level we teach small and big krithis,Ata thala varnams etc. 7th level and 8th level we prepare the student in manodharma like ragam swaram etc. 9th level student should b ready for a concert.
The syllabus book ( prepared by my guru) wl b provided by me to the students. Exams are also being conducted during aug and feb every year which s optional . Classes wl b on mostly online via Zoom,and Skype where the student can record my teaching . Recordings should b saved by the student for further practice.
