Hey, 💫I am a passionate teacher and learner with over 16 years of teaching experience. 💫I have experience of teaching JEE, NEET, IB and Cambridge (AS, A Level) Physics Curricula. 💫I have tutored students from UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Netherlands, Malaysia, UAE, Australia, India and many other countries. 💫Having exposure to various curricula and students across different nations, I have got deeper understanding of students’ learning needs and ways to deliver the most complicated Physics concepts in the easiest possible manner. 💫I have been even able to help students to improve their grade 3,4 to grade 6,7 in IBDP. That gives me a lot of confidence into my teaching methodology and style. 💫So far, 31 of my students (combined SL and HL) have earned a Grade 7, and 42 have got Grade 6 in IBDP Physics. Also, 26 of my students have achieved A* grades, and 38 have attained A grades in their A Level Physics examinations. 💫Also, I'm an International EXAMINER for physics. This role as an assessment specialist has afforded me a profound understanding of marking principles, standards, and the prevalent trends in student responses. 💫I implement various differentiation methods and teaching strategies to ensure that my students learn in easiest possible way. My session with students looks something like this: 1. Diagnostic Test- I make a personal judgment by asking a few questions or by taking a small online quiz to check student’s prior learning/ misconceptions about the topic. 2. Inquiry based learning- I strongly believe that teaching is more effective when there is curiosity to know/ learn. So, ensure that I present my lesson with such fun facts/real world applications/day to day life connections in a way that student naturally becomes inquisitive to know more. 3. Differentiation into teaching- I use various ways to deliver the conceptual understanding of the topic to the student. The strategy/ method majorly depends upon what could be the best way student learns. Some of my teaching practice look like- a. I use Peardeck presentations b. I show some short videos to demonstrate working of some complex phenomena c. I use Simulations to let students perform a virtual experiment d. I use Deductive method of learning, to let student learn the concepts from the presented facts. 4. Integration of Technology- I try to integrate as much technology (Simulations, GIFs, Animations, Videos, Digital Whiteboard for annotation) into teaching which might be relevant, useful and least distractive for the student. 5. Real Life applications- I like to discuss the real-life connections and application of Physics concepts. 6. Continuous Evaluation- I ensure that I track students learning through diagnostic tests, Think and Respond questions, Guided practice of past paper Exam style questions. 7. Fun Element- I am also fond of using some memes and GIFs into my lessons which are connected to the Physics concepts and helps students remember it.
LEARNING IS FUN FOR ME and I LOVE TO MAKE IT FUN FOR THE STUDENTS TOO...!!!
Happy Learning!
