Dr. Al-Shater is a seasoned TEFL/TESOL professional and OFQUAL certified trainer. Her last position was a lecturer at the International Technical Female College Madinah (TOP). Her main goal is to be a better version of herself everyday.
Dr. Al-Shater started her career as a volunteer translator in 1999 and helped faculty members in doing literature review and translating their research papers. Then she got her full time job in 2000 as a translator, foreign purchases co-ordinator, company executive secretary and CEO office manager in a group of sister companies specialized in manufacturing, printing and converting paper and self-adhesives. She also worked as an English teacher in a private school in Egypt for 4 years.
In 2006, she got her MA in TEFL and moved to Saudi Arabia and started her freelance work as a translator, editor and private tutor. Then she got her Ph.D. in TEFL in January 2016. She is now settled in Alexandria, Egypt and is looking for a new challenge.
Throughout her long journey of full-time and freelance work, she gained excellent professional skills and capabilities. She has a positive work attitude, excellent research skills and a very good command of computer applications. On top of that, she is punctual, receptive to innovative ideas, highly informative, resourceful, quick learner, dedicated, passionate about achieving professional development and keen on helping her students and colleagues. She has had hands-on experience in preparing exam materials and training students for Cambridge PET exam with high pass and retention rates and is striving to transform her students' lives and achieve their goals.
