Before recently obtaining my Master of Arts degree, I completed my Honours Degree in Linguistics and Foreign Languages in 2004. Through facilitation by my previous employers, I have completed many short courses, such as, certification for a short course in Public Relations at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2012, as well as some LLB law modules through UNISA. I also have a degree in Theology which include subjects like Social Science and Research. In addition, I also completed an online Blogging and Content Management course through the SHAW academy. Most recently, in April 2020, I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics having achieved 79% for my thesis. In completing this degree, I developed strong planning and analysis skills as well as greatly improved my research, writing and editing abilities. My diverse work experience ranges from being a Debt collector, a Call-Centre agent, an Accounts Officer, a Linguistics and Arabic Teacher, a Tutor, and an Executive Personal Assistant and Committee Coordinator at the South African Revenue Services. The Committee Coordinator position is where I have spent the vast majority of my working life. Some competencies which I developed in these roles include computer literacy and strong communication skills, data analysis, overseeing the workflow process of case presentation and general office administration. For the past six months I have been employed as a Learning Designer at 2U. I have excellent performance records in most of my previous jobs. I am recently skilled in Google Workspace, Asana, Slack and Advanced Excel and Analysis Applications.
