I believe my background and experience as a teacher will make a viable contribution to a young child's early education. I have taught for over 12 years at two accredited elementary and middle schools in Manila. I taught students across the early grades with mainstreamed learners with special educational needs.
I see children as unique individuals with a great capacity for learning and improvement. I also believe that childhood is a vital stage that children have to experience and enjoy. So, I practice developmentally appropriate instruction; and, focus on making learning fun, meaningful and purposeful for my students. Alongside literacy, self-help skills are embedded in the activities to make sure that my students become self-reliant and confident even when in the face of challenging tasks. As a result of my instruction, I have seen my students enjoy school and make strides toward learning.
It is also important for me to add that while I teach academics, I also rely on parents' collaboration throughout the process.
