Hi, Myself Janani, cool and also an enthusiastic microbiologist with ten years of experience in laboratory and teaching. My working experience in NABL accredited microbiology laboratory as Junior Scientist for 6 years and in Referral laboratory for 4 years helped and motivated me to be actively involved in diagnosis of ocular viral pathogens in conjunctivitis epidemic.
I have been working as Deputy Technical Manager at SN Referral Laboratory for the NABL accreditation trained in ISO 15189:2012 and and has sound skill on preparation of documents, SOP’s and other requirements for accreditation and Key in charge of routine molecular microbiological works and also involved in routine maintenance of the department.

• Theory and practical classes on General Microbiology, Clinical Immunology, Medical Microbiology and Diagnostic Microbiology for Post Graduates - MSMLT (Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology) students, Under Graduates (Ophthalmic assistants, BSMLT students) of Sankara Nethralaya acadamy.
• Mentored more than 10 students from various colleges for 3-4 months short term research projects and 3 students from BITS, Pilani for Practice School I.
• Trained more than 30 candidates (National and International) in Molecular Microbiology Techniques (PCR, Real Time PCR, DNA sequencing, etc) during the summer training programme organized by Vidyasagar Institute of Bio-Medical Sciences (VIBS), a unit of Medical Research Foundation every year.
• Involved in conducting and training Antimicrobial surveillance program conducted by WHO- WHONET 2011& 2013 at L&T Microbiology research center, Vision Research Foundation.
• Trained PG’s from Oman in the field of Tissue culture and virus isolation.
• Trained ophthalmic fellows in the field of ocular microbiology and PCR
