I am a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching English language and literature in the IGCSE and A levels. I try to make my students develop their language and communication skills and focus on conceptual learning. Rather than laying out answers for them in the first place, I try giving them ideas on the content, style, themes of a particular literary text and ask them to form their personal responses and discuss them in class. I do not stress on my students to memorise answers, rather urge them to work on their vocubulary, practice close-reading of texts and understand the linguistic, lexical, semantic elements of various texts in order to develop informed, analytical and well-structured responses. Besides these, I help my students improve their flexibility writing in different formats, be it a fictional or a non-fictional piece of writing. I try to inculcate in them the productive benefits of an application based study of English language and literature so that they are prepared for all kind of challenges in their board examinations.
