I have been associated with classical music since childhood, born and brought up in a cultural environment where we were always encouraged to be participative in several art forms. My association with Rabindra Sangeet has been since when I was in higher secondary school, and since then I have pursued it as my passion and career. I have a post graduate in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabindra Bharathi university after which I have been a music teacher for classes XI and XII under the West Bengal board of secondary education.

Apart from the above, I have home tutored many students in music, both Indian classical and Rabindra Sangeet for over 10 years.
