Usually prefer the bottom top approach while teaching...that means explaining the concept via trivial examples and then raising the bar to high level real time problems.
The methodology I prefer is quite unique to myself and I don't believe that craming things works, wherein I beleive that conceptual depth of the subject is what matters the most, just pay attention to the sessions and trust me soon you would be an expert in Supply Chain.
