I am a freelance teacher with years of BPO experience handling US accounts and different sorts of LOBs (lines of business), e.g. technical support (ISP, Telco), customer service (billing, customer support), airline reservations, etc. I am also currently a 51Talk online teacher - teaching English to Chinese students mostly during the weekday evenings. I am TESOL and TEYL certified from the trainings I had in 51Talk. I also got an opportunity to serve as a volunteer teacher for the DepEd Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program back in 2014 and I taught ALS students between 13 to 30 years old in our church locale. Having trained with my current ESL company gave me the knowledge and skills to handle child students ages 6 to 12, given that these students usually have short attention span and they require a lot of patience when teaching them. My teaching style is a bit different from the typical professional teaching methodologies in such a way that I'm not so strict and proper serious in class, but I always make it a point to stick to the lesson material as much as possible all throughout the lesson. I give appropriate feedback to the student's performance and I also encourage comments and suggestions from them to help me better understand how to tailor-fit their learning needs and preferences.
