I am Leela a dancer by profession. I graduated from Rukmini Devi College of fine arts, Kalakshetra Foundation Chennai.My Bani/Style is proper Kalakshetra style which is very pure and divine. I have 8 years of experience in this feild. Apart from Bharatanatyam Iam also learning Carnatic Music for 8 years. I also have basic knowledge in Yoga as well. I am able to take both Practical and Theory classes of Bharatanatyam. I can also teach necessary body exercises and yoga which is necessary for a dancer and also basic Carnatic Music lessons. I will be taking a full package of Bharatanatyam with Theory, Music, and Thalam.

Very skilled

I have been taking Bharatanatyam classes with Leela for a few months now. She is a highly skilled teacher. Her methodology is holistic and comprehensive. The classes are designed around technique, tala, and body awareness. She has a very good eye for giving lessons and corrections without being harsh and it has helped me slowly build up my skills. Her love for the craft comes through in her teaching. We have worked on progressively getting to the nuances of the adavus and repertoire.

Leela has also been flexible in finding a schedule that worked for the both of us. I really enjoy the lessons and wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a Bharatanatyam teacher.
