Hello,
I am currently a medico studying in one of the medical college in India. I teach alot of students from countries including NZ, UK, Canada etc. My teaching methodology varies from student to student depending on thier goals. I teach through ppts. I first go for ppts which are concise and compact, then I go for books and lastly a test is planned at the end of particular chapter. I am really strict regarding deadlines . I make sure that student is comfortable asking me question during the session. I keep my teaching goals oriented and I avoid over explaining unnecessary topics. I start with very basic concepts and then move on to broader and bigger concept. Tackling and ability to solve questions is constantly taken into consideration. With advancing further I make sure student recapitulate the previous topics too. Evaluation is made weekly and results are sent to the parents every week. I including animations and cartoon in my ppts to make sure that lecture delivered is impactful and has ability to work with cognitive, affective and psychomotor skill of students.
