Good day, I'm teacher Maica. I'm 24 years old.I have bachelor's degree in secondary education major in English from Cebu Normal University and a 120 hour TEFL and TESOL certificate.
I have been teaching for 3 years in a public high school as an English teacher. I also had ESL teaching experience for 6 months. And now, I am also a freelance teacher, currently teaching Filipino and English language.

I have designed my own courses for BEGINNERS for adults and children. I simplified the explanation that even if they do not understand English, they can still follow. The course has 3 areas -- grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

For intermediate and advance students, I select the lesson topics depending on what they need the most which I would know after the assessment during the first lesson. Generally, students’ weak points are on the tenses of the verb, prepositions, and conditionals for grammar, because I am more focused on speaking, pronunciation, and gaining confidence.

My expertise in teaching is with adults and young learners. When it comes to my teaching approach, I teach in a friendly, interactive and student-centered way. I believe that students learn most when they feel relaxed and comfortable
