I am a British national, born and brought up in India, but educated in British and American schools. My father's side are British, and he made sure we went to the best schools. I have taught in very challenging situations, even with illiterate students, but always kept them engaged through interactive games, and a genuine interest in helping them to learn English. My boss told me that the students said that I was extremely patient and helpful. I have lived in England for a number of years, and so, together with my schooling, this has provided me with first hand knowledge of spoken native English. Also, as I was unable to study as a youngster, I am now studying for my BA English Literature. My Prof said that my English is excellent, and that I would be an able teacher of conversational/spoken English. She recommended that I join this site.

Experience

  • English trainee (Jan, 2018–Feb, 2020) at Express Avenue mall
    I was working as an English trainer for waiters, bellboy, cooks, receptionists, security personnel and other attendants in the mall. It was extremely challenging as many of them didn't even know basic English. Some were completely illiterate, but I engaged with them too, by playing number games, word games and other techniques.

Fee details

    ₹400–500/hour (US$4.72–5.90/hour)

    I will only be teaching online. I will only teach between 10:30 am to 4 pm, half hour classes. Because the classes will be only half hourly, I will charge 200 to 250 per class. I am a native speaker, so my charge is fixed
