Jamaica AndresEnglish and Math teacher (Elem & JHS)
No reviews yet
I had been a Mathematics teacher for five years in a known sectarian school in the Philippines before pursuing a career as an ESL teacher. Through my experiences in formal classroom instruction, I have learned how to manage students of different abilities and interests. I became flexible in dealing with varied behaviors which in turn allowed me to understand the necessary adjustments required to get along well in a learning/working environment.
In terms of continuous learning, I have learned that in order to be relevant, I must retool myself consistently with relevant knowledge about applications and recent developments to ensure progress in my work. Teaching has taught me that while a teacher is the single-most important instructional element in a classroom, he/she must use the tools available to his/her advantage.
My work experiences are dominantly in the field of education, but I am a willing learner who exerts supreme effort to continuously expand my skillset. Given the opportunity to work for you, I promise to commit myself to the achievement of your goals, and to unceasingly grow as a person who can offer more than what a job asks from her.
