I tracked a career path along data analytics and research characterised by lateral moves to roles that greatly value research and data focused on users’ needs.

Data analysis and project management have always been integral components of my roles. My research and data analytics skills supported the delivery of outputs and outcomes to users and stakeholders. I am well versed in a number of applications in Windows and Linux platforms and continuously advancing my skills set through self-learning.

My PhD which had significant computational component that produced first- and joint-authored publications and dissertation - proofs of my full understanding and great appreciation of how quality data and analysis contribute to the generation of new knowledge. My master’s thesis incorporated survey data from technological universities in support of the creation of shared institutional databases. Among the advanced courses
I completed relevant to research data management were Data Analysis, Statistical Methods Applied to education, Computer Software for education, Theory and Methods of Education, and Program/Project Planning and Evaluation.

Concurrent to the last post I held at a Philippine state university as Assistant Professor with faculty responsibilities in teaching, research and training, I headed the Research and Development Centre Centre Director at the helm of planning, development, and implementation of research programs and projects as well as in charge of organising the annually-held multidisciplinary university research conferences.
