I am Kathak Guru Sri Ajoy Kumar Das from Jaipur (Lucknow Gharana), a senior disciple of Padmavibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji. A National Scholarship and fellowship Holder from the Government of India, I hold an M.A from Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata, Kathak Bisharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh, Prayag Sangeet Samity Allahabad, Bangiya Sangeet Parishad Kolkata, etc. I worked as a Kathak teacher at Kathak Kendra Kolkata for 12 years, worked as a Kathak teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya for 3 years, and 1 year at The Sagar International School Alwar. Currently, I am working as Head of the Department at an Aditya Birla Group School. I am also a regular speaker on FM Radio about Dance and a Doordarshan Graded Artist.
